IRRIGATION SYSTEM FOR VERTICAL GROW TOWER CROP PROD. FACILITY (US20200383287A1)
I was hired to design Plenty’s irrigation system for Euphrates, a scaled production leafy greens farm in Compton, Los Angeles.
I owned irrigation design for “Vertical Grow” and “Propagation” Grow Spaces. My parts included custom spec OEM flow-regulated nozzles, molded nozzles and fittings, extruded plastic manifolds, and many off-the-shelf plumbing components.

Contributions
The main design challenges were packing density, cost, and optimizing for serviceability in a wet, pressurized system. I pushed for a modular architecture where manifold sections had a maximum weight per assembly and coordinated tests to demonstrate likelihood to grow pathogens and algae. I completed system and component level FMEAs, prototyped functional and “looks like” builds, and tested various specs to tune OEM flow-regulators.
